Overview

This document will explain how to use Big Inventory for existing Customers and Partners. Additionally, we will cover any pre-requisites for each new feature and any existing configuration needed.

Fluent Big Inventory has added many new features and capabilities to the Fluent Commerce platform. These features must be configured to ensure they work to their full potential.

Pre-Requisites

To start using any of the new services, you must:

Be using Global Inventory for your Inventory Availability orchestration

To start using Batch Pre-Processing:

You must ensure that your workflows and implementation are compatible with Batch Pre-Processing. To do this, follow our How to Enable Batch Pre-Processing guide.

To start using the Metrics API:

You must configure permissions to allow your users to make Metrics queries. See getting started with Metrics API

To start using the Inventory Web App:

You need to configure the correct user roles to access the web app. See Getting Started Configuring Fluent Big Inventory Web App

Migration of existing customised pages

You may need to migrate customised manifests from the Fluent OMS Web App. This is required if you have modified the Inventory pages within the OMS web app

To start using Inventory Feeds:

You must set up and configure Inventory Feeds per your business needs. See Inventory Feeds User Guides
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is required to store the inventory feed data files

Getting Started Configuring Fluent Big Inventory Web App

The Fluent Big Inventory Web App is pre-configured with standard functions that provide the interface for managing products, inventory, feeds, and sources and serve as a starting point for your projects.

The default UX templates are hosted on the platform, so you don't have to create the manifest settings unless you need to customize the existing baseline configuration.
