Overview

This Study Guide helps prepare for the Functional Practitioner Certification Exam. It provides some summaries of various areas that will be relevant for the exam and other details to help you pass the exam.

Key points

  • Prior implementation experience is not required to pass the exam, and all questions can be answered by studying the documentation.
  • Even if you have completed previous training, review the Knowledge Tracks to ensure you're up-to-date with Fluent's capabilities.
  • Understand the GraphQL data schema and relationships between data entities to create, update effectively, and query data in the Fluent system.
  • Explore essential knowledge and how-to guides for detailed explanations and configuration examples of Fluent's features and workflow logic.

Certification Scope

A Full Certification is a key milestone in your Fluent journey. It’s a more in depth assessment of your skills, so take your time and prepare thoughtfully.We recommend completing all the Learning Milestones first, they’ll give you the foundation you need.

Once you’ve worked through those, follow the Functional Practitioner Certification Study Guide. Data schema

The data schema is critical in how external systems create, update, and query data in the Fluent system. Understanding the ins and outs of this data structure and the relationships between data entities will be essential. This will familiarize you with specifics like required fields in a mutation or query, 1:1 or 1:N relationships, field types, etc.

Building Blocks

It is important for any builder to understand these concepts and how they are used to configure and enable business capabilities. Understanding this is at the core of what Fluent provides.

How-to and Extend How-to Guides

How-to guides will give detailed explanations and configuration examples for enabling specific features, display elements, and workflow logic. Extend Knowledge offers recommended approach guides on leveraging the Fluent Commerce solution, with specific examples and use cases. These capabilities may require additional development. Understanding the flexibility and art of the possible with Fluent is important for application in real-world Customer settings.
