Faster Wave Picking and Reliable Pack Scanning in Fluent Store

Release

Author:

Changed on:

Target release date:2026-11-02
Release status:Released

Description

This release makes picking and packing in Fluent Store faster and more reliable for large and complex fulfillments:
  • Picking a large wave by scanning is approximately 20 times faster, and the Pick step stays responsive from the first scan to the last
  • Fulfillments that contain separate line items with the same barcode can be packed by scanning alone
  • The Pack and Dispatch steps of a wave take into account all items of each fulfillment, and the Create Wave configuration example counts every item

Changelog

Fluent Store
  • Wave picking
    • Improved scanning performance in the Pick step: each scan now updates only the scanned row of the pick list, and the page no longer uses more memory with every scan. Picking a whole wave by scanning is now approximately 20 times faster (about 5 seconds instead of 100 seconds for a wave of 80 lines), and every scan takes the same time from the first item to the last. Large waves stay responsive, including on handheld devices
    • Sorting a filtered pick list now reorders the filtered items immediately
  • Packing
Extended barcode scanning in the Pack step to fulfillments that contain separate line items with the same barcode. Each scan adds the next unpacked line item, so store associates can pack these fulfillments by scanning alone. The "maximum quantity already reached" warning appears only after all line items with the scanned barcode are packed
  • Wave Pack and Dispatch
The Pack and Dispatch steps of a wave now take into account up to 1,000 items of each fulfillment, so the packing slip, fulfillment list, and pack label actions display correctly for fulfillments with more than 10 items. The updated configuration example in the Fulfillment List Field Component lets the Create Wave screen count every item in the Number of Items column and in the summary
Components
  • Column headers of item lists with quantity selectors, such as the pick list and the return item list of the Returns Component, now switch to the new language as soon as the user changes it, without a page reload

Limitations

  • Without the `fc.mystique.fields.fulfilmentlist` setting, the Create Wave screen counts up to 10 items per fulfillment. To count every item, create the setting based on the configuration example in the Fulfillment List Field Component
  • The scanning improvements don't change the time it takes to open a wave: the pick list loads every line when the wave opens
