Description

Customers can now request all items in an order to be delivered or collected on a specific date and time. For example, a customer may wish to have their order delivered after 11 am on a specific day.

Use case

Single Requested Delivery Date

Problem

User: A customer who wants to send a gift to a friend

Goal: To order a gift online and have it delivered on a specific date

  • The customer logs into an online shop and specifies the requested delivery date at checkout as 10 days from today.
  • They provide the recipient's name and address.
  • The online shop receives the order and prepares the order for delivery when the time is close to the delivery date.
  • The recipient receives the gift and confirms the successful delivery.

In this use case, the ability to specify a requested delivery date for a single order is crucial for the customer to ensure that the gift arrives on a specific date, such as for a birthday or anniversary.
