DELTA transaction represents an immediate deduction from inventory, distinct from reservation processes, such as a direct sale in a store through a Point of Sale (POS) system.
An ACTIVE DELTA with -10 unitsTwo ACTIVE RESERVED with -7 and -2 unitsThe current IP on-hand is 143 while the LAST_on_HAND IQ is 162
New inventory batch resets LAST_ON_HAND to 153.
All prior DELTA records are inactivated since the batch load reestablishes the system’s understanding of actual stock. Previous SALE and CORRECTION records are also handled if present.
