Inventory Batch API Update: Enhanced Flexibility and Attribute Support

In this release, we’ve enhanced the Inventory Batch API to provide greater flexibility and functionality for our customers. These improvements allow you to send additional fields in inventory batch records, enhancing your ability to manage complex inventory workflows. This update is particularly beneficial for clients using Batch Pre-Processing (BPP), as it enables seamless integration of extra attributes into your inventory processes, improving operational efficiency and customization options.

Batch API Enhancements:

• Support for Additional Fields: You can now include extra attributes in inventory batch records, making your inventory management more adaptable and comprehensive. This is available for clients with Batch Pre-Processing (BPP) enabled.
• Flexible Workflow Targeting: The API now supports defining different entry rulesets for processing inventory batches, allowing greater customization of inventory workflows. This removes the limitation of processing inventory batches in only one way.

Inventory Module Enhancements:

• Flexible Attribute Handling: The new Inventory Module version 1.4.0 and beyond supports the enhanced attributes coming in via batch record payloads. This includes removing the dependency on a hard-coded inventory catalogue type (

  `DEFAULT`

  ) and introducing the

  `inventoryQuantity`

  field for the corresponding events.
