Workflows

Workflows define an entity's and its dependent's lifecycles. They consist of a collection of rulesets that describe what business logic should be run at each stage of the entity's lifecycle.

Inventory Catalog Workflow Template

WorkflowThis is the Reference Inventory Catalog Workflow provided as part of the Inventory Reference Module.Fluent Commerce provides `fc-workflow-inventory-catalogue.json` file that can be imported directly into any Retailer setup to use the Reference Workflow template. It is also possible to update and configure Workflows to fit your specific client requirements using our OMX Workflow Framework.The Inventory Module Getting Started Guide defines configuration capabilities for the Reference Inventory Workflows.

Location Workflow Templates

WorkflowThis article explains the logic that triggers the creation of a wave. Commonly, waves are created based on the fulfillment expiry time. Alternatively, the logic can be based on specific attributes of identified items (e.g. bulk items). Making this change can help facilitate a more efficient picking process according to the store layout.

User actions can be created throughout the wave process to reinforce specific business procedures. For example, we can ensure that in-store staff confirms the completion of the picking phase by using a confirmation dialogue box.
