Ready for Launch Process

Overview

The Ready for Launch process (RFL) is an engagement with the Fluent Commerce Expert Services team throughout the lifecycle of a Fluent project. The process is initiated at the beginning of a Fluent Commerce project and completed with the go-live of the project in production.

The final review ("RFL Launch Gate") should be planned for 3-4 weeks before the desired Go-Live event to receive the approval to move into production.

  • The Kickoff stage covers the introduction to the Ready for Launch process and the initial project & solution overview.
  • The Design Review stage covers a detailed presentation of the solution by the partner and the review of the implementation by Fluent Commerce.
  • The Launch Gate stage covers the presentation of the final solution and performance test results as well as the confirmation of the desired launch date. After a final review, Fluent Commerce provides the production go-live approval.

What the RFL is designed to do?

  • Evaluate key aspects of the design and implementation against best practices and provide actionable recommendations
  • Identify and assess potentially critical issues, especially issues that might jeopardise the stability of the Fluent platform
  • Confirm adaptation of essential Fluent best practices
  • Review usage of any partner accelerators, plug-ins, 3rd party dependencies
  • Review performance test results in accordance with environment sizing and license limits
  • Provide launch readiness feedback
  • Escalate concerns to Fluent Commerce, Implementation Partner and Customer
  • Act as a Launch Gate ahead of the move into production

What the RFL is designed not to do?

  • Certify all aspects of the implementation
  • Full code review of the implementation (including UI)
  • Ensure that no problems exist in the implementations
  • Review every use case and scenario
  • Validate customer requirements against the implementation
  • Ensure on-time/on-budget delivery
  • Resolve problems or provide solutions
  • Ensure that PII data is stored & processed securely in the Fluent Order Management platform
